I found a back door that let me use the old editor on WP, but boy do I understand your decision.

Sure would love to hear how you found that back door, Ellen, before I migrate to Blogger myself. I was working on blogging a new post last night and I could not believe the mess I kept getting into. Even clicking on “Classic” wouldn’t work. How did you do it? I know there’s little point asking WP’s “happiness engineers.”

I’ll try to reconstruct it. Go to My Sites. Scroll to the bottom, where it says WP Admin. Click that. You’re back! Go to posts and you can actually get some work done.

I understand we can save/download our blogs on wordpress. Why not migrate it to blogger?

Looks like that’s what you did, right? I have to figure out how to do that, then find the time to do it, etc… but I’m strongly leaning in that direction even though Blogger now belongs to Google and I’m no fan… but WordPress is just intolerable with their insistence on their “block” thing. Seems like another attempt to control how we do our writing, so what’s next? Thanks for the push.

Export your blog Sh’Tara. That is key. On the WP admin, you will see a button to do that. Export can work. I didn’t do that with blogger but I have a copy of this blog now.

A friend tried to migrate my blog once and we lost everyone. I scuttled back and picked everyone back up and have stayed put since then.

Horrific video, about the Indigenous American Holocaust, but that has being the History of Mankind through the ages, specially since the discovery of the Americas, but well before that History has been a blood bathh of wars, and destruction , as far back, as the Greeks, Romans, Huns, Mongols, and you name it, to our present day.
